The late, great Buck Owens once said of Trace, "He has a presence about him that reminds you of Johnny Cash or Merle Haggard... where you can tell when they walk into a room without even turning to see them." That big voice can break your heart or tear up the house, but as another observer wrote, he has a knack for "putting believability into songs dealing with love, loss, sex and blue-collar realities." No doubt he'll continue to serve up more of the same for years to come.
